45th Founder’s Day observed
Saint Soldier International School celebrated its 45th Founder’s Day on 26.12.18 in honour of their founder Chairman Late Sh. Gurdev Singh Hayer. The Founder’s Week celebrations began on 20 December 2018 with a host of activities which culminated with Akhand Path and Langar on 26 December 2018.
In a Poem Recitation Competition for Classes I-II on ‘My School’, Samrat I C and Jasmine II D bagged first position while Harshita I C, Yashika II A and Kunal II D stood at second position and the third position was secured by Lavanya I B and Likhit II B. In a Painting Competition the students brought out the best of their talent and presented a colourful depiction of the school. Aditya III B won the first position in this competition. Class IV staged a splendid presentation titled ‘A Vision of a Wonderful World’ in which the deteriorating condition of the earth was displayed through a dance drama representing the 5 elements with a message conveyed well to preserve the earth for the future generation. In an Essay Writing Competition for Class V on ‘I love my school’, Aditi, Nikhil and Deepjot were the prize winners. Class VI enthralled the audience with a vibrant and colourful Stage Presentation on the importance of spreading goodness to all. Classes VI-XI showcased immense creativity in a Slogan Writing Competition on ‘Impact of Education’. In Category I (VI-VIII) Anuj of VIII D stood first and Manjot Kaur of VII B stood second. In Category II (IX-XI) Sanya and Ruchika of XI Arts were declared winners of the first & second position respectively.
The PTM day was a walk down memory lane with a display of old pictures of the school and its history that began with the Founder Chairman. The Saturday Club of the school put up a snacks stalls where parents relished mouthwatering dishes. A three day Akhand Path was also instituted in the school premises where the first day saw the arrival of the Holy Book Shri Guru Granth Sahib in the school campus. Chairman Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh Hayer, Directors Mr. Jagwinder Pal Singh Hayer and Mr. Amarinder Pal Singh Hayer and Principal Ms. Vijaya Sidhu along with staff and students paid homage to the Holy book and sought blessings. The pious event concluded on 26 December 2018 with Bhog followed by Langar for parents and school fraternity.
