KG Winter Fiesta 2019-20
The students of Kindergarten of Saint Soldier International School, Sec 28 B, Chandigarh participated in their much awaited Annual Show ‘Winter Fiesta 2019-20’ on November 2nd with great fervour and zeal Mr. Harpal Singh, Founder of NGO Bhai Jaitajee Foundation India graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Bani and Aarohi of KG class presented a bouquet to the worthy chief guest to honour his eminent presence. The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting by the honourable Chief Guest along with other dignitaries, Mr. Jagwinder Pal Singh Hayer and Mr. Amarinder Pal Singh Hayer and Principal Ms. Vijaya Sidhu, amidst the chanting of the pious Sarswati Vandana. Ms. Ridhima, Coordinator, Pre Primary Wing in her address extended a warm welcome to the gathering and emphasized upon determination, focus and hard work which enable a person to achieve his goals in life. This was followed by the ‘Welcome Dance’ presented by the tiny tots to greet the august audience. The function continued with absolute splendour and gaiety where the young students performed various colourful items.
The skit ‘How to Catch a Star’ staged by the little ones won the appreciation of all present. Nothing is impossible and dreams can come true only with firm determination and hard work, was showcased in this skit through the story of a young girl with high aspirations in life. The whole act was beautifully interlinked with dance and drama to bring forth the message of hard work. The audience was treated to a shower of well synchronized dances like Fairy Dance, Spanish Dance and Moon Walk. The foot tapping ‘Bhangra’ performance by the young dancers enthralled everyone. All present applauded these young little stars for their synchronized acts and extraordinary talent. The show concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Anupreet through which she expressed her gratitude to all present. The Chief Guest, Mr. Harpal Singh was all praise for the students and acclaimed the effort of the teachers. Principal Ms. Vijaya Sidhu lauded the students and teachers for executing an event of such grand magnitude. She also appreciated the support and encouragement of parents.
