Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28 B, Chandigarh, celebrated Diwali with splendour and a strong message of sustainability. The celebration beautifully blended festivity with responsibility, encouraging students to embrace an eco-friendly and compassionate way of celebrating the Festival of Lights. The highlight of the celebration was a special presentation by Class VIII through a powerful skit that conveyed the true essence of Diwali - the triumph of goodness, compassion and light over darkness. This was followed by an enthusiastic dance performance that radiated festive joy and filled the stage with colour, rhythm, and energy. Both performances reflected the students’ creativity and deep understanding of the festival’s values.

Across the school, students participated in a variety of eco- friendly activities promoting the idea of a Green Diwali. They decorated diyas and candles using natural materials, created beautiful rangolis with organic colours and flowers and crafted lanterns from recycled paper. The creatively designed Diwali Corners across the campus showcased their efforts toward sustainability and artistic excellence. Adding to the spirit of social responsibility, the NSS volunteers of the school organised an Anti-Cracker Diwali Rally at Hallomajra to spread awareness about the harmful effects of firecrackers and to encourage the community to celebrate Diwali in an environment-friendly manner.

Through these initiatives, Saint Soldier International School reinforced the message that Diwali is not just about lights and festivities, but also about spreading happiness responsibly - protecting nature while illuminating hearts with love, kindness, and awareness.
