An Orientation Programme for the parents of Class IX students was organised at Saint Soldier International School. Parents were apprised with the norms and protocols regarding punctuality, discipline, uniform and the new assessment pattern, through a comprehensive PPT presentation. The session laid emphasis on the active involvement of parents in the upbringing of their wards and on active synergy among parents, teachers and students for the holistic development of the students. Parents were also made aware of the menace of fast escalating cyber threats and apprised them about the preventive measures necessary to preempt such threats. They were sensitized about the physical, cognitive, social and emotional changes observed in the students and how to deal with these behavioural changes. Parents were also acquainted with the changes implemented by CBSE like introduction of two levels of examination in mathematics in secondary classes. The aim was to familiarize the parents with the scholastic and co-scholastic domains in Class IX as per CBSE norms.
In the Orientation Programme held for parents of Class I, parents were familiarized with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, examination and co-scholastic activities. They were also told about no homework policy implemented by CBSE. The orientation programme was followed by lively and fruitful interactive session.
