Inter School Lawn Tennis Tournament Finale
Hosts Saint Soldier International School, Sector-28 B, Chandigarh lifted the winner’s trophy in the inaugural Inter-School Lawn Tennis Tournament with a convincing victory of 2-0 in the finals against Manav Mangal Smart School.
In the 1st Singles, Charchit from Saint Soldier won by 6-2, and in the 2nd Singles, another victory was secured by Ajay with a score of 6-1. Earlier in the tournament, Saint Kabir received a walkover in a match against Gurukul Global School, Manimajra, making them the second runner up of the tournament.
The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by the Chief Guest Dr. Rajinder Kaur, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and the Chief Vigilance Officer at Panjab University, an illustrious alumna of Saint Soldier International School. She was accompanied by the Director Mr Jagwinder Pal Singh Hayer, Manager Ms Sukhreet Kaur, Adviser Ms Vijaya Sidhu and Principal Ms Anisha Ghuman. The Chief Guest presented individual trophies to the second runner up, first runner up and the winning team, honouring the commendable effort of participants. The winning team, Saint Soldier - 28, was awarded the championship trophy, celebrating their exceptional performance. Additionally, the overall trophy for the tournament was proudly secured by Saint Soldier International School, acknowledging their consistent excellence throughout the competition. The ceremony emphasized the school’s commitment to sportsmanship and the spirit of healthy competition. The tournament ended on a high note, with Saint Soldier displaying excellent performance throughout the tournament.
