Republic Day Celebrations

The 70th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Saint Soldier International School, Sec 28 B, Chandigarh on 26 January 2019. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity by participating in various activities throughout the week like singing, poetry recitation, speech and mask making of their favourite National Heroes. For Classes I to V Flag Making and Painting Competition on the theme ‘Patriotism’ was held. A Quiz was also conducted judging the students’ knowledge about their country. In the Pre Primary Wing, tiny tots made tri coloured kites of different shapes and enjoyed colouring the National Flag.

The Chief Guest, Chairman, Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh Hayer unfurled the National Flag and the school fraternity sang the National Anthem. Director, Mr. Jagwinder Pal Singh Hayer and Principal Ms. Vijaya Sidhu were present on the occasion. The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the students presented group songs. A special tribute was paid to the martyrs by teachers through a beautiful patriotic song ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon’. Later everyone joined to sing ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha’ which filled the whole atmosphere with respect, passionate love and pride for the nation. Principal Ms. Vijaya Sidhu extended Republic Day greetings to all.
