The School gems shine in Music and Art

The School Choir Team of Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28 B, Chandigarh brought laurels to the school by winning the third position in ‘Swar Naad’, an Inter School Hindi Patriotic Group Song Competition organised by Guru Harkrishan Model School, Sector 38 D, Chandigarh. The Team consisting of Divyanshi, Krishna Sharma, Taniya Mehra, Pratham, Tanish Singh, Devansh Malhotra, Ashish Sharma and Abhishek melodiously mesmerised the audience with their song ‘Tumko Naman’. A total of eighteen schools participated in the competition. In the Inter School Art Competition at the same venue, Davisha of Class V B scored first position and Akhil Singh Yadav of V B bagged third position with their paintings on the theme ‘Jungle Scene’. From Group B, Simran of VIII B got a Consolation Prize for her poster on ‘Stop Domestic Violence’. In an another Inter School Painting Competition conducted by Chandigarh Tourism, as a part of the celebration of World Tourism Day, Khushi of X A bagged the second position. She made a wonderful painting on the topic ‘Beautiful places of Chandigarh’ and got a cash prize of three thousand rupees.
