Vigilance Awareness Week

Saint Soldier International School, Sec 28 B, Chandigarh observed the 2019 Vigilance Awareness Week being driven by Central Vigilance Commission from 28 October to 2 Nov in pursuit of the vision of the Government of India to make a New India by the year 2022. The event coincides with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, known to be a statesman of high integrity. Various activities demonstrating a fight against corruption with the theme ‘Integrity – A way of Life’ were undertaken in the school. The observance of the Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) commenced with the Integrity pledge administered by the students of Class VIII on 31 Oct 2019 to imbibe the ethical values of righteousness and honesty. To raise awareness and fight against corruption, a human chain was organised by classes XI and XII. To eradicate corruption, the students of NSS wing delivered a speech and a presentation on 2nd November. A poster making competition on ‘Stop Corruption’ was also organised at the school by Bank of Baroda. The event encouraged the collective participation of the young generation to weed out corruption from the root level and lead a life full of integrity and uprightness. Students were awarded with gifts, trophies and certificates. Ist position was bagged by Gurbaaz, VIII C. Daksh, IX A won second position and Anuj, VIII D secured the third position.
